Welcome to the inaugural issue of the New Jersey School Garden Report, sponsored by the AtlantiCare Foundation and the New Jersey Farm to School Network. In this quarterly newsletter, you’ll receive information about school gardens, tips on how to start them, what plants work best with different age groups, how gardens are funded and lots of other ideas to assist stakeholders in the process of this important work.

We will feature stories about school gardens and community gardens that work with schools in the state and invite you to send us pictures (that have model releases) and stories from your school. School garden teachers and supporters learn from each other, which is why we’re putting this newsletter together, solely focused on teaching gardens, a critical part of Farm to School.
