Here they are! The top 15 schools chosen for final judging in this year’s School Garden of the Year Award, sponsored by Edible Jersey and the New Jersey Farm to School Network. Stay tuned for announcements the last week of May on our homepage, our newsletter and our social media outlets to learn who the winners are.

Awards will be given out for Best Nutrition Education, Best Environmental Education, Best Community Collaboration and new this year, Best Rookie Garden of the Year Award. The Overall Winning Garden of the Year Award will be presented to the garden that exemplifies the best all-around, sustainable garden with a host of stakeholders, funding streams and curriculum tie-ins.

We’ll also announce the lottery-drawn winner from all of this year’s applicants to reveal who is the winner of a Mobile Edible Wall Unit indoor school garden on wheels, donated by Green Living Technologies.
